More than one million Afghan refugees fled to Pakistan after the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan in 2021. Now all these people face deportation as part of Pakistan’s new anti-migrant crackdown. As Touria Izri reports, some of them are waiting for Canada to process their refugee applications, as pressure mounts on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to pick up the pace.
