The board says a special in-camera meeting was held Wednesday after it received a copy of the complaint against Deputy Chief Uday Jaswal.

The chair of the Ottawa Police Services Board said Uday Jaswal told her the allegations are "unfounded."

Jaswal has 23 years of police service under his belt: 21 years as an officer and superintendent with the Ottawa Police Service and, most recently, two years as deputy chief of the Durham Regional Police Service.
