A polling station in Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands has been cancelled due to COVID. Residents of a retirement home will vote by telephone or online instead.

Leeds and Thousand Islands councillors voted, on Monday, to suspend councillor John Paul Jackson's pay for 90 days after an Integrity Commissioner report found that the councillor breached the township's code of conduct. 

It's considered prime waterfront property in Rockport, Ont.: the Customs House, and dock which boasts 60 feet of riverfront property in the bustling waterfront community just east of Kingston. And the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands got a deal of a lifetime when council recently voted to purchase it.
