A helicopter that crashed in a wheat field northeast of Edmonton on Saturday was built from a homemade kit, according to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.

Tim Moen with Strathcona County EMS said the pilot was taken to the University of Alberta Hospital with minor injuries.
