Edmonton fire investigators say $9 million in damage was caused to the Second Chance Thrift Shop on Oct. 8 by an electrical short from a vehicle parked inside the building.

Crews arrived at the Emmanuel Foundation and its thrift shop off 75 Street and Argyll Road just before 5:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke and large flames coming from the roof.
