The Winnipeg School Division found that while Indigenous students represent just over a quarter of the division's students, they make up 55 per cent of suspensions.

The Ontario government says students will no longer be asked to chose between the applied or academic stream when they start high school and it will also end suspensions for students in junior kindergarten to Grade 3.
