The Real-Time Virtual Support program, launched in April 2020 puts a pool of 200 specialists and physicians, including ER doctors, at rural communities' fingertips 24 hours a day.

Instead of a doctor doing hospital rounds in person, a nurse rolls in a TV cart with the physician on a video screen from an office elsewhere in the province or the country.
