A man that was found in a stolen car and later killed by Edmonton police on New Year's Eve in 2021 is believed to have also killed a Redd Alert gang member earlier that same day.

According to experts, kids as young as 12 years old are being identified by gangs to be recruited – they target kids that appear to be misfits or those with rough home lives.
