An RCMP officer "was attacked with a knife and received serious, non-life-threatening injuries" during a scene call at a home in Thorhild, Alta., on Tuesday afternoon. 

The officer was attempting to stop a suspicious vehicle near No. 3 Road and Steveston Highway.
