The pair of firefighters went missing after a swollen river swept them away while they were trying to rescue two local residents earlier this week in the Charlevoix region.

Evacuations were ordered in the community of Baie-Saint-Paul, where extensive floodwaters washed out roads. The municipality of St-Come also declared a state of emergency.
