Police say the toddler fell into an industrial grain mixer on her family's farm and her parents tried to intervene immediately, but it was too late to save the young child's life.

Provincial police say a piece of the woman's clothing, later identified as a scarf by the workplace health and safety board, got caught in moving machinery.
