A 69-year-old woman died after being hit by an SUV while crossing the intersection of 68 Street N.E. and 12 Avenue N.E. on Tuesday morning.

Police said it's believed the driver made a sharp left turn on a gravel road and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin before landing on its right side.
