Fisheries Minister Gerry Byrne says Alf-Helge Aarskog, CEO of seafood company Mowi, is expected in the province Thursday afternoon to discuss disclosure about the mass die-off of farmed salmon earlier this year.

Images of the messy cleanup and slow public disclosure of the incident have prompted environmental concerns and discussions about how the province's growing aquaculture industry is regulated.

Northern Harvest Sea Farms, owned by the Norwegian company Mowi, plans to expand a salmon hatchery in Stephenville, in western Newfoundland.
