Indigenous leaders are calling on the Sask. government to follow through on a 12-year-old promise to bring cellphone coverage to communities that lack the service.

A statement from the Indigenous Services Canada minister’s office said there is only one project currently in the feasibility stage that will need an extended timeframe.
