"The animals are stressed when they're constantly being held or patted or forced to give rides or to perform tricks. This is an unnatural activity for them," said Melissa Matlow, the Canada-based campaign director at World Animal Protection.

A Facebook post, made by the private animal park, has seen comments from concerned citizens over the use of elephants for entertainment.

In 2013, two brothers were killed by an escaped python. A pathologist testified the boys died of asphyxiation, and each of them suffered puncture wounds from snake bites.
