Maersk said Sunday that it has received confirmation that Operation Prosperity Guardian (OPG) has been set up and deployed, allowing commerce to safely pass through the Red Sea.

"It's time to do something, because the shipping industry is still lagging behind, technologically," said Jeremy Citone. "It's time for the shipping industry to catch up."

Denmark's Maersk said it aimed to have carbon neutral vessels commercially viable by 2030 and would cut its net carbon emissions to zero by 2050.
