Duncan Xu, who was in the sixth grade at the school, was struck while crossing the street near the intersection of Canongate Trail and Purcell Square, at around 3:30 p.m. last Tuesday.

An 11-year-old boy was fatally struck after leaving school Tuesday afternoon. Neighbours say the area is crammed with vehicle traffic through the morning and afternoon rush, and that the situation is posing serious risks. Many are now calling for changes to be made to increase safety for students.
