The Wildrose is weighing in on a public land deal for a private school in Edmonton. The principal of Headway School, who wants to buy a surplus school site in Mill Woods so students will be closer to home, has called the decision absurd.

For the first time since the idea of selling surplus land to accomodate a private school came up at city hall, the principal behind the idea has spoken out against public sector unions, among others.

A battle is brewing over who should be allowed to build on sites set aside for new schools.
