The cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline has been a blow to Alberta's economy but for those who live in the town of Hardisty, the decision hits close to home -- literally.

RCMP had been pursuing a truck on Highway 13 near Hardisty, which evaded spike belts before ending up in a ditch, where the confrontation occurred.
