Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Barrie, Midland and Orillia area Thursday with freezing rain and gusting winds expected to create challenges.

People may be in for a slippery day with Environment Canada calling for freezing rain in the Barrie, Collingwood, and Hillsdale areas Wednesday.
