• Police investigate drowning of 2 canoers in East Mills Township, Ont.

  Ontario Provincial Police said four people were in a canoe that capsized on Legrou Lake Tuesday night. Two of the occupants were able to swim to shore.

  OPP said on Tuesday at around 10:41 a.m., a woman who was wading in the water a short distance from the shore in Beach Area 6 began to show "signs of distress."
