Ontario's Elgin County confirmed a cybersecurity incident on March 31 and now says that roughly 26,000 files, along with personal information of about 300 people were compromised.

Elgin County officials have been tight-lipped about the 'technical disruption' and have provided little detail about the claimed data leak.
