The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man in the community of Evergreen.

Two men in a stolen Green Drop truck pulled up to a house in the city’s southwest Monday morning and then beat and robbed the elderly homeowner.

A fire engulfed a house on Everridge Drive S.W. around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

A woman who was rushed to hospital after an early morning house fire has died of her injuries.

Early Friday morning, half a dozen robberies happened in the communities of Evergreen, Walden and New Brighton. Residents were sleeping inside at the time.

Police have asked for the public’s help to try and find a woman wanted in connection with two attempted robberies, who used distraction theft techniques.
