Blake was shot in the back and paralyzed while 29-year-old Dijon Kizzee died in the Monday afternoon shooting in South Los Angeles.

The suit alleges the officers violated Floyd's rights when they restrained him and that the city allowed a culture of excessive force, racism and impunity to flourish in its police force.

"The cause of death was that he was starving for air. It was lack of oxygen. And so everything else is a red herring to try to throw us off," attorney Ben Crump said.

A lawsuit filed by Taylor's family says three officers "blindly" fired more than 20 shots in her home.
