The numbers are shocking – more than 18,000 people in B.C. have died of overdoses in the past decade. And while progress has been made, advocates say much more needs to be done. And as Angela Jung reports, innovations developed in Vancouver are being used around the world to try to reverse the trend.

Community members gathered in Piikani Nation Monday to honour those lost to overdose while highlighting resources for people struggling with addiction. The event included recovery speakers and performances. Zoe Lukowich reports.

Boyle Street’s Streetworks team will be at Churchill Square hosting a pop-up offering naloxone training, educational information, an art station, recovery coaches and more.
