Global Edmonton supports: Summer SolstICE

This summer, enjoy free events for all in the heart of Edmonton at ICE District Plaza.

The Oilers Entertainment Group and Global Edmonton are proud to announce the Summer SolstICE event series in ICE District Plaza. In addition to a variety of top-tier concerts at Rogers Place and the 2022 World Junior replay in August, ICE District Plaza will host more than 20 free outdoor events throughout the summer for Edmontonians to come together once again to socialize and celebrate in the heart of the city.

ICE District Plaza will be transformed for a variety of summer events check out the schedule below:

June 27 – 30

TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival

Jazz Around Town is headed to ICE District Plaza as part of the TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival. Join us daily from June 27-30 starting at noon for incredible performances!

July 1

Canada Day Celebration

Celebrate the best country on planet earth at ICE District Plaza from 3 pm – 11pm! Wear your Canadian colours proudly and enjoy live entertainment, food, beverages, photo ops, roving characters, axe throwing, a renowned body airbrush artist, patio games and more.

Starting July 8

TG ICE Fridays

Ditch work early on Fridays for some street food, beer, cocktails, games and live music with your friends and coworkers as ICE District Plaza is transformed into Downtown Edmonton’s largest licensed patio. Don’t miss the fun Fridays from 3 pm to 7 pm.

July 23

Immersive Cinema Experience

Get your date or friends together for an immersive experience of some of the most popular cult classic movies including themed décor and food and beverage, movie characters and much more. On July 23 enjoy Wayne’s World starting at 7 pm.

August 6

Pride Cup

Celebrating Pride 365 in Edmonton in true ICE District fashion, by playing hockey! Presented by the Edmonton Oilers, Pride Tape and other community partners, the inaugural Pride Cup ball hockey championship proudly supports diversity, equality and inclusion through sport. In addition to the championship game, the event will feature live bands, DJs, Oilers alumni and the first ever unveiling and presentation of the Pride Cup itself.
