FREDERICTON, NB – New Brunswick Premier David Alward says he’ll use the upcoming Francophonie summit in Switzerland to promote the use of technology as a learning tool.

Alward and a delegation of government and business people will attend the three day summit this coming weekend.

He says New Brunswick is recognized for its advances in information technology and communications for learning.

A digital classroom project will be on display at the New Brunswick pavilion.

The previous Liberal government had promised laptop computers for all middle and high school students, if re-elected.

However, the Conservatives said it was money better spent on other things such as music, art and physical education.
