Report of Regina Beach child luring incident not criminal: Lumsden RCMP

Lumsden RCMP say a report of an attempted child luring in the Regina Beach, Buena Vista area on Thursday is not criminal in nature.

According to a release, police received this report on Thursday at 10 p.m. on 5th Avenue in Regina Beach, Sask.

“Initial investigation determined that around 8:45 p.m. September 21, a lone male driving a dark blue or black-coloured four-door car approached two male youth who were on foot and asked them multiple times if they wanted a ride,” police stated.

“The two youth were able to return to a safe location and did not report any injuries to police. The car sped away.”

Friday Lumsden RCMP said their investigation revealed the incident was not criminal in nature and no charges would be laid.
