Mounties ended a shelter-in-place alert Tuesday morning but are currently trying to capture the armed suspect in a rural area located southwest of Edmonton.

Police say the suspect is believed to be 24-year-old Shaeden Muskeg.

Muskeg is described as having a medium complexion, standing five feet nine inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, and having black hair and brown eyes.

Muskeg has warrants for his arrest from a Sept. 13 incident on Sunchild First Nation where he was charged with:

  • Discharge a firearm with intent
  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to order

RCMP are asking for help from the public in locating Muskeg. He is considered armed and dangerous, and police say if he is seen, do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
