Team searching for missing mother finds human remains

LA RONGE, Sask. – Human remains were discovered Wednesday in the vicinity of where a missing mother disappeared earlier this month in northern Saskatchewan.

A search team was hoping to locate 24-year-old Jodi Roberts this morning.

The mother of two was last seen on Nov. 6 in Sucker River, Sask.

Searchers chose to focus on an area near the community because a member of the public found an article of clothing there and this was unusual.

The body’s identity has not been confirmed and an autopsy will take place in Saskatoon next week.

Investigators said Roberts disappearance may be suspicious in nature.
