WINNIPEG – Conservative candidate Ted Falk has won the federal byelection in the Manitoba riding of Provencher, easily defeating Liberal rival Terry Hayward.
Falk takes over from former Tory Member of Parliament and Public Safety Minister Vic Toews who resigned earlier this year. Toews held the seat for ten years, last winning it in 2011 with more than 70 per cent of the vote.
