Investigators are looking into why a bank collapsed along the Brunette River causing a ‘bucket truck’ to end up in the water earlier today.
No one was hurt in the incident, which took place 200 metres away from the Highway 1 bridge over the Brunette River on a service road, says Greg Johnson, Treo spokesperson.
The ‘man lift’, also known as a bucket truck was working on the Hwy. 1 Improvement Project.
Johnson says some diesel fuel from the truck ended up in the river but the amount is unknown at this time.
The truck has been removed from the river and booms have been placed in the river downstream from the accident in an attempt to collect some of the spilled fuel.
