KELOWNA — Another incident involving a car smashing into a Kelowna business, only this time the driver is blaming the vehicle.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at Red Wing Shoes on Dilworth Road where the driver hit the front of the store, smashing the window.

Bill Horton says he had pulled into the stall crooked and backed up to re-align the car when it suddenly accelerated.

“It’s strange. We got a note from Infinity about a recall because there’s something wrong with the accelerator,” he explains. “But [the letter] said you could keep driving.”
