CN employee dies after being hit by train in eastern Saskatchewan

CROOKED RIVER, Sask. – A Canadian National Railway worker is dead after being struck by a freight train near Crooked River, Sask. on Monday evening.

Police believe the 39-year-old man was part of a train crew and was hit during a train-switching procedure.

He was rushed to hospital in Tisdale where he died from his injuries.

His name has not been released.

CN has not released any details but say the employee died while performing his duties.
