TORONTO — A new web series goes into production this week in Vancouver with actor Peter DeLuise in the director’s chair.

Parked is a comedy series about a group of 30-something stay-at-home dads who share stories about the struggles and joys of parenthood at a local playground.

“There are no rules,” DeLuise explains in a video promoting the web series. “We can talk about poop, we can talk about marriage, we can talk about same-sex marriage.”

Cameras will roll around Vancouver until mid-December.

DeLuise, the 47-year-old son of actor Dom DeLuise, starred opposite Johnny Depp in the made-in-Vancouver TV series 21 Jump Street from 1987 to 1990.

He is married to Newfoundland-born actress Anne Marie DeLuise.

Parked — originally titled Dads — is benefitting from BC Film + Media funding. An Indiegogo campaign launched in August managed to attract only $8,717 of its $20,000 goal.
