Today was not a good day to run the Blue Nose Youth Run. The weather was horrible. It was raining, windy and cold. There were 3000 kids and some of their parents running the Youth run and it was quite crowded! I had a few cramps at the beginning of the run but they went away at the 1km marker. I was glad my mum ran with me. She chatted the whole way! It was really nice that there were people along the course cheering us on – even at the hospital, there were people waving from the window! When it was all over it didn’t seem like it was 4.2km because it seemed to be a quick run. I guess my training really did pay off in the long run! We were all soaking wet and cold! And I would do it again anytime!
