Surrey RCMP believe the stabbing occurred just before 6 p.m. near Bentley Road and King George Boulevard, just north of the Surrey RCMP detachment.

Police believe multiple male suspects arrived in a taxi, confronted the victim, and stabbed him.

“The victim was transported to an area hospital as they had sustained serious injuries,” Surrey RCMP told Global News.

Mounties say the man suffered life-threatening injuries, but is in stable condition.

While the motive remains unclear, RCMP said Monday the 24-year-old victim was also stabbed on April 15 on board a SkyTrain in Surrey.

Around 8 p.m. on Sunday — about two blocks from the stabbing — Mounties said a person was also shot and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In a Monday update, police said the shooting happened in a residential driveway in the 10700-block of City Parkway. The 36-year-old victim is known to police, but the motive remains unknown.

Police said three male suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot but have not been located.

“At this time, it is unknown if this shooting is related to the ongoing BC Gang Conflict,” Surrey RCMP wrote in an emailed statement.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact the detachment at 604-599-0502.
