Edmonton police say they have arrested a 28-year-old man just two days after he was released from jail, where he spent time after being convicted of performing indecent acts.
David Adams was convicted in February and served jail time for two counts of indecent acts after he was found masturbating in a vehicle while following female students at the U of A and NAIT campuses.
Adams was released on April 14. In a news release issued Wednesday, police said Adams was arrested in connection with an investigation into reports that a man “approached female youths, reportedly attempting to talk to them while following them.”
Police alleged the suspect in those instances was reportedly driving a silver/grey BMW X1. According to police, a vehicle with the same description was connected to the investigation into the offences Adams was convicted of.
Adams was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of criminal harassment and a breach, police said. He has been prohibited by the court to be on either campus.
