A house in West Kelowna sustained significant damage from a garage fire on Thursday morning.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue (WKFR) says crews rushed out to the 900 block of Ogden Road at 11:30 a.m., where they found a fully involved fire in the garage.

WKFR says the fire extended into areas above the garage. In all, 17 firefighters were on scene and seven WKFR vehicles, including four fire engines.
“The fire resulted in significant fire, smoke, and water damage throughout the structure,” said WKFR assistant fire chief Lionel Bateman. “The occupants were all out of the building and no pets were involved.”

On Friday afternoon, WKFR said the fire isn’t suspicious, but the cause is undetermined.
