UPDATE: Prowler taking pictures of Kelowna homes

UPDATE: Kelowna RCMP say the mystery man has contacted them.

The unidentified man left a voicemail Monday saying that he was not taking photos on the property of the complainant.  He tells police he was taking photos of something on the street.

The man is not from Kelowna. Police say he’s from the Lower Mainland.

RCMP say they’ll be following up with a return phone call but do not believe the matter to be malicious.

KELOWNA — RCMP have released pictures of a mysterious photographer, hoping the public can help identify the man.

On the afternoon of October 7th, the resident of a home on the 2200 block of Speer Street noticed a man had come into her yard and taking pictures of her house.

When confronted, the man basically told her to get lost.

She managed to take two photographs of him before he left.  Police would like to talk to the man.

“It’s just very odd, entering onto someone else’s property, taking photographs, then dismissing that as none of their business. So it’s quite concerning,” says Constable Kris Clark.

If you think you know who the photographer is, you’re asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP.  Or you can provide the information anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
