SASKATOON – Saskatoon police have seized drugs and firearms after an investigation by the drug enforcement street team.
Police were alerted to possible drug activity on Friday afternoon and searched a vehicle where they found three pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
A man was arrested and a search of his residence in the 600-block of Victoria Avenue turned up more drugs.
In total, police seized an additional 70 grams of marihuana, 12 grams of hash oil and 85 grams of psilocybin along with brass knuckles and cash.
Two storage lockers were also searched, resulting in the seizure of a number of firearms and ammunition.
Charges of possessing a firearm without a license, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime were laid against the 33-year-old Saskatoon man.
He appeared in court Monday morning and is scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday morning.
