TORONTO — What happened to Bridget Jones?
Actress Renée Zellweger was barely recognizable when she stepped out Nov. 2 in Los Angeles for a screening of Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story.
Radar reported some people at the event “didn’t even realize who she was” and added she was sporting “a frozen forehead.”
According to RumorFix, “her appearance has set tongues wagging that she may have had an eye work done, with plastic surgery to remove excess skin from the eyelid to provide a more ‘wide eyed’ look.”

Britain’s Mirror noted Zellweger “appeared to have much brighter eyes than usual which, of course, could be down to good old fashion beauty sleep.” The newspaper also said she “looked thinner in the face than usual which may be the result of a healthy and nutritious diet.”
The 44-year-old star debuted her fresh new look Oct. 24 at the Giorgio Armani – One Night Only event in New York City.
Zellweger, who hasn’t made a movie in about three years, starred in a string of bombs after 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
Her 2010 thriller Case 39 earned only $28 million at the box office and 2009’s My One and Only made $3 million.
Zellweger has made several movies in Canada, including 2009’s New in Town (partly shot in Winnipeg) and 2005’s Cinderella Man and 2002’s Chicago (both filmed in Toronto).
