I love news bloopers and I’ve wasted countless hours on Youtube watching them, mostly at home.. just in case you we’re wondering.
Working in the newsroom, I get a unique look at what goes on behind the scenes of bringing you the news every day, and sometimes it’s hilarious.
Here’s some of my favourite news bloopers, from various stations around the world.
#5: Ow Ow Ow!!
Stomping grapes on live TV — probably not the best idea. Especially when you fall off the platform. Just ask this woman… it sounds pretty painful.

#4: Rodney Stanger: Hamster at Large
Graphic designers often use graphics called placeholders, to take the place of an image that they don’t have yet. This is what happens when they get left in by accident. Nice recovery by the anchor though.
#3: ‘Oh my goodness”
OK, this one is really immature and probably takes this whole blog post down a notch. From our friends down at KIRO-TV in Seattle — a run by farting (albeit, edited in) surprises the reporter.
- ‘Really challenging issue’: Many B.C. communities still at high risk for flooding
- Mailing in your taxes? CRA says changes are coming amid push to digital
- Cold warnings across the Prairies forecast wind-chill temperatures near -45 C
- Canadian military member arrested, charged in foreign interference probe
#2: I’ve got gas
With warm weather upon us, many of us have already fired up the BBQ. There’s just one question: What do you prefer? Charcoal or gas?
#1: “A model fell down twice”
This is my favourite. Watch these anchors try and keep it together as they talk about Paris Fashion Week and the runway walk of a wobbly-legged model.
