The clean-up continues in Yorkton after the Saskatchewan community was struck by a massive flood in early July.
The Good Spirit School Division is in the process of making between one and two million dollars in repairs to the Yorkton Regional High School. When the flood waters hit more than six feet of water poured into the school’s mechanical room. The damage was primarily to the heating and ventilation systems.
The division says the repairs are expected to be completed by August 15th, well before classes are scheduled to begin, although contingency plans are being put in place in case the school year is delayed.
