A 19-year-old London, Ont. resident has been charged in connection with a serious collision Wednesday night in the city’s east end that left a pedestrian with critical injuries.
The collision happened around 6 p.m. in the area of Cheapside Street at Farnsborough Crescent, police said.
One pedestrian was taken from the scene to hospital by paramedics, police said.
In a brief update Thursday afternoon, police said the individual remained in hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police also announced that a 19-year-old London resident had been charged in connection with the incident.

The accused faces a charge of failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, police said.
They’re expected to appear in court on Jan. 9.
Cheapside Street was closed in all directions between Sandford Street and Baransway Drive for the initial stages of the investigation.
The roadway has since re-opened.
