Things that come in 12’s

In the 2009 Grey Cup, a 13th man penalty on the last play of the game gave the Montreal Alouettes a second chance to kick a game-winning field goal. Kicker Damon Duvall connected on the second attempt, and sent Saskatchewan Roughrider fans and players into an off-season of dread.

In the 2010 home opener, the Riders were penalized for having 13 men on the field when the Alouettes threw an incomplete pass on third down in overtime. The Als were given a fresh set of downs and were able to convert, sending the game into a second mini overtime game. In the end, the Riders were able to pull off the win.
