Allgood murder trial set to resume in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – The trial of an American man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and wounding her boyfriend is set to resume in Saskatoon on Monday.

George Allgood, 48, is accused of killing Susan Rienhardt while she slept in her City Park home in July 2006

The trial was adjourned in September so the defence lawyer Morris Bodnar could consider late evidence that came up over a fingerprint on a sliding door at the crime scene.

Experts concluded the quality of the fingerprint was too poor to determine if it was that of another person.

No more evidence will be called and the Crown will begin its rebuttal on Monday.
