Do you order a truck load of chips and pop or not? That is the question facing Pemberton store owners. 40 thousand visitors are arriving in a few day for the Pemberton Music Festival and merchants are wondering how many will stop in town for supplies. There is also the need for extra staff – not an easy thing to find for a weekend of work. Still, it seems most are cautiously optimistic the festival will bring in cash without the headache of idiots looking for trouble. I strongly recommend anyone going to the shows check out the festival website for items to leave at home. Security will be looking for almost anything that could be used as a weapon – including a bottle of Bud – Glass bottles are a no no – guess broken glass would also suck for any barefoot music lovers. Yes your cell phone should work – temporary cell towers have been brought in.
