SASKATOON – With winter and snow right around the corner, having a safe vehicle that can make it through cold, icy, rough conditions is on people’s minds.
Purchasing a new vehicle can be overwhelming and intimidating. Driving out of the lot in a new car can leave many wondering if they got a good deal or the right car.
“When you have that product knowledge and you have that price report and your going to interact with the dealership and the sales people on cost plus a profit model, that’s music to their ears because dealers love profit, hate discounts,” said Ben Spatafora, CarCostCanada National Director.

People looking to purchase a new vehicle have a lot to consider including a growing family, a specific image and future needs.
Finding the right vehicle to meet those needs has become easier with more information online.
“Buying habits really are determined by the level of service now, not necessarily by the best price. Everybody shops on the price but what they really care about, what dealer is going to look after them after the fact,” said Michael Wyant, Jubilee Ford General Manager.
Buying habits in Saskatchewan tends to be more trucks and SUV’s than cars.
When buying a new vehicle, experts say confidence and knowledge is key.
