Several workers were in the basement of the home when a fast burning fire occurred.

One person suffered burns and was taken to hospital. There is no word on the extent of those injuries.

While Deputy Fire Chief Vern Elliot declined to describe the incident as an explosion, he said it was a “very fast fire.”

According to those on scene, the home owners were expected to move in next week.
